Global Fusion is a concept created by Dr. L. Subramaniam in the 1970s whereby different musical traditions from around the globe collaborate with one another. Over four decades, he has composed for and collaborated with artistes from different musical traditions around the world creating the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival and releasing the path-breaking "Global Fusion" album which featured artistes from five continents.

The Istanbul concert features Dr. L. Subramaniam performing some of his original fusion compositions using elements of traditional Indian classical, Western and jazz traditions, as well as his collaborations with Bollywood legend Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam.
