From a rich legacy of textiles to contemporary Indian fashion, designer Tarun Tahiliani narrates the artistry of the draped form through the ages. From “Royal India to India Modern”, he continues to innovate with the draped form, a signature to India’s culture, that stands on its own anywhere in the world.

Tahiliani showcases the unique evolution and construction of the quintessential Indian drape in a talk show format. “Fashion so far! All that we were and more!” will have a live demonstration of archival and present collections while fashion models walk the talk.

About Tarun Tahiliani

Tahiliani started his professional career with a degree in Business Management from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. After returning to India, he saw the vast potential in India's evolving couture industry, and in 1987, opened the country's first multi-designer boutique, Ensemble, heralding a fashion revolution. In 1991, he received an associate degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York and held his first solo show in September 1994 at the Dorchester Hotel in London. In 2003, he was the first Indian designer invited to showcase his work at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week and has since shown his collections in New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Moscow, South Africa and Karachi. He now retails from many prestigious retail locations worldwide.
